An unusual win. Three goals off long balls (one from Almunia) and no creativity or spark until Fabregas and Hleb came off. After going 1-0 down in the first twenty minutes due to some sorry defending from a corner, it seemed as the optimistic 4-4-2 we used, with Bendtner, Eduardo and Diaby all starting, was going to fail . The play was lackluster without any movement in the final third, and I was honestly happy to get to halftime only one goal down

Portsmouth refused to allow Arsenal to climb back to the summit of the Premier League by holding them to a deserved 0-0 draw at Fratton Park. The Gunners, who had not been beaten by Pompey since 1958, now find themselves playing catch-up with Manchester United, who are a point clear following their demolition of Sunderland. Arsenal stormed back to the top of the Premier League table with a 3-2 win over Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on Sunday — but they were made to work so hard to do it.
